Precise, forgiving movement
Coyote time, jump buffering, and variable jump height. When you fall, it was your call, not the controls.
A browser platformer · In development
You wake in the deepest cell of a prison that goes down forever. The way out is up.
Playable today: the movement prototype. Needs a desktop browser.
Zero setup
The Escapist runs in your browser. There is no launcher, no installer, and no account. Open the page and you are in.
The game
An interconnected prison to explore, with movement tight enough to trust on the hardest jumps.
Coyote time, jump buffering, and variable jump height. When you fall, it was your call, not the controls.
Cell blocks, flooded tunnels, and forgotten wings, all one map. Every destination has more than one way in.
Strike down onto an enemy and bounce off it. Fights take the same timing and spacing as the platforming.
Wall jump, dash, grapple. Each one turns places you have already seen into new routes and shortcuts.
The world
The deeper and older a wing, the stranger it gets. A few of the places between you and daylight:
Solitary confinement, the deepest cells. Where it starts.
Old drainage under the prison. Mind the live wires.
Steam, heat, and industrial presses that do not stop for you.
Decommissioned long ago. The oldest, strangest part of the prison.
